Enagás Buys BP's Bilbao LNG Stake
September 2009 | Industry NewsSpanish utility Enagás has bought out BP's 25% stake in the Bahia de Biskaia Gas (BBG) liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal in northern Spain, solidifying its dominant position in the country's LNG import sector. Enagás already owns three out of Spain's six working LNG regasification plants, and in 2008 won government approval to build a fourth one; the El Musel LNG terminal in the Asturian city of Gijon.
