Provinces Vie For Greater Energy Control

Frustrated by the country's deadlocked energy policy, two gas-rich Iraqi provinces are pushing for a greater say in project developments on their territories. Growing dissatisfaction in majority-Arab regions with Baghdad's handling of energy projects adds to the already acrimonious relationship between the central government and the semi-autonomous northern Kurdish region.
