ONGC Acquires South Pars Phase 12 Stake

Iran has awarded Phase 12 of the giant South Pars gas project to Indian and Angolan companies, replacing Austria's OMV. Frustrated by the slow progress of its export-oriented gas ventures, the Iranian government has been replacing Western investors with national oil companies (NOCs) from countries that are less susceptible to US pressure.
