Gas Natural Sells Distribution Assets For US$1.2bn

Spain's Gas Natural (GN) has agreed to sell its distribution assets in Madrid to Morgan Stanley and Portugal's Galp Energia for EUR800mn (US$1.2bn). GN has been divesting some of its assets to meet competition guidelines and cut debt following the acquisition of Unión Fenosa in April 2009.
