Work Starts On New Bolivia-Argentina Interconnector

Argentina has begun preliminary construction work on a new gas interconnector to Bolivia, ahead of the new gas sales and purchase agreement (SPA) between the two countries. The 70km supply line, known as the Gasoducto de Integración in Bolivia, will enable La Paz to raise gas exports to its southern neighbour, which should help partially to offset falling demand from its biggest energy customer Brazil.
