Shell Moves Closer To Chukchi Sea Drilling Approval

Anglo-Dutch major Royal Dutch Shell has secured an important regulatory approval for its drilling programme in the Chukchi Sea off Alaska's west coast. A conditional air-quality permit issued by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on January 7 is one of several licences that the company needs in order to drill three planned wells in the Chukchi Sea this summer.
