Shell Announces Montreal East Refinery Closure

Anglo-Dutch major Royal Dutch Shell has announced plans to convert its Montreal East refinery in Quebec into an oil products terminal. The decision is indicative of the depressed market for fuels in North America and of the low profit margins at Montreal East, which is Shell's oldest Canadian refinery.
