2010 Licensing Round Likely To Disappoint

Algeria is planning to hold a licensing round before the end of 2010, the country's energy minister, Chakib Khelil, told Reuters in a March 8 interview. The minister did not provide any details of the type of acreage or the number of permits that will be offered. He did say, however, that the fiscal terms on offer during the country's previous round, which was completed in December 2009, were unlikely to be changed for the new round.
