Iran To Invest US$6.8bn In Gas Infrastructure

Iran has announced plans to invest US$6.8bn on developing and expanding its gas infrastructure during the Iranian year that starts on March 21 2010. The investment, part of the country's fifth five-year plan, will go towards the construction of the ninth Iranian Gas Trunkline (IGAT) pipeline, the completion of a second gas pipeline from Turkmenistan and expansion work on three gas processing facilities at Fajr-e Jam, Parsian and Ilam.
