Exxon, Shell To Sell Gas Storage To Focus On Upstream

ExxonMobil and Royal Dutch Shell are considering the sale of natural gas storage capacity in Germany, according to a Bloomberg report on May 11 2010, citing anonymous sources familiar with the matter. The sources claimed that the sales process might begin in June after the companies identify which of the assets currently held by their joint venture (JV) vehicle, BEB Erdgas und Erdoel, should be put up for sale.
