Egypt is to set up an oil services company to develop the hydrocarbons infrastructure of the Sinai Peninsula, the oil ministry announced on July 13 2010. Although the decision is a bullish sign for the peninsula's oil and gas prospects, it has been undertaken for largely political reasons.
