Oil Minister Considers Contract Changes And Round Extension To Lure Gas Investors

Iraq's oil minister Hussein al-Shahristani has suggested the possibility of changing the date for the planned third hydrocarbons licensing round. The minister's suggestion, made on July 26 2010, indicates Iraq's willingness to give more time to potential bidders for the three gas fields on offer in the round, as it seeks to speed up domestic gas development.
