EU, Canada Approve New Iran Sanctions With Muted Oil And Gas Impact

Canada and the European Union separately approved new sanctions against Iran in response to the country's defiance of the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency over its nuclear programme. The sanctions further tighten restrictions on Iran's oil and gas sector, thus making more effective similar US sanctions which took effect on July 1 2010.
