Hopes High For New Bidding Round

Algeria has pre-qualified 74 companies to participate in its latest licensing round, which was launched on July 27. According to an Algerian official cited by Dow Jones Newswires, the 74 were chosen from 80 companies that responded to a call for expressions of interest in June and include Chinese, US, European and private Algerian players.
