Parliament Calls For Revocation Of UAE Gas Supply Deal

Iranian parliamentarians have called for a 2001 contract to supply gas to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to be cancelled, following a longstanding dispute over pricing. According to a statement by the Iranian parliament's energy committee spokesperson, Emad Hosseini, cited by Iran's student news agency ISNA, several parliamentarians think the contract should be revoked and the international ramifications accepted.
