Australian producer Santos has welcomed a decision on May 1 by the Premier of South Australia to review a 15% shareholding restriction which has applied to the company for nearly 30 years. Following a request made by Santos to the Australian government, the Premier will now hold a review, the results of which are expected in September 2007.
