Thailand is to put 65 blocks up for auction in its 20th exploration licensing round, due to start this week. The licensing round, which will last for one year, covers an area of 235,576sq km, according to energy minister Piyasvasti Amranand. 56 blocks are on offer onshore, with the remainder situated in the Gulf of Thailand. The deadline for submitting first applications is 16 July, and subsequent applications will need to be submitted by the 15th of every month.
