Kuwait expects its northern oil fields to produce 860,000 barrels per day (b/d) of crude by end-2010 after an early production unit is brought onstream, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted Hessniah Hashem, managing director of upstream monopoly Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), as saying on December 20 2010.
